I love math and teach math to students of all ages, but I find that students are often overwhelmed by mathematical thinking and formulas. In fact, some students believe that they will never need the math they learn in school. However, many of these students want to go into business and in business math is king!

I attend Stuyvesant High School, a school with many math-talented students who do not typically have one-on-one interaction with professionals who use math in diverse ways to create value in society.

Mathematicsofbusiness.org provides that connection: a way to hear from businesspeople who loved math, wanted to follow that path but not through academia, and found fascinating ways to use this subject in their careers.
